Stillness No More

The big and golden buried itself behind the mountains. Light and dark battled halfway with the latter who prevailed effortlessly. From the creases and gaps to the edges, the shadow cautiously crept and later wrapped the room with gloom—all was dark. Stillness then joined darkness, only for a while, though for she knew she will no longer make it. And just like any other night, she crumbled, and stillness was no more.

Every night, her chest heaving and in her throat a lumpy feeling— keeping it all in, afraid for someone to witness her vulnerability, her secret.
