Blood Drive 101

The day before you donate blood, be sure to get a good night sleep. Eat something– no need to get yourself full, it’s just so that after you won’t feel like crashing down. After blood has been collected from you, don’t get up right away. Lie down for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Let your body rest. Give it time to adjust.

It’s my first time donating blood today! I tried donating blood to last year’s school-hosted blood drive but there was an age requirement. I’ve always wanted to donate blood despite the usual comments on how big the needle is. It’s the feeling you get that is just so fulfilling because you know you are able to help lives out there.
